Huge congratulations to Firefly author Sharon Tregenza and her middle grade mystery The Jewelled Jaguar. Three awards in one year is a stunning achievement.
In 2018, Sharon won the Calderdale Book of the Year, which was presented by the mayor of Halifax at the Town Hall.
Then in May 2019 came the Fantastic Book Award which was presented by the children of Flakefleet Primary School.
And in June 2019, she was off to Eastbourne to be awarded the East Sussex Children’s Book Award.
The Jewelled Jaguar was also shortlisted for the Tir Na n-Og Chidren’s Book Award in Wales 2018, and longlisted for the North Somerset Teacher’s Book Award 2018.
