Submissions
Firefly publishes great fiction in all genres for five to nineteen-year-olds.
We do not publish picture books or any fiction or non-fiction for adults.
Imagination has no borders. No culture has a monopoly on the way children think and feel and this is why we actively encourage new voices from anyone – regardless of where you are from (and where you’re going).
Our focus is on our readers: children long to see themselves in books but are also more open than many of us to new characters and notions.
Fiction
We are not currently accepting fiction submissions.
Occasionally, we have an open window for all submissions, which will be advertised on our social media channels in advance.
Illustrations
Please send a small sample of work and a link to your website to:
submissions@fireflypress.co.uk
stating ‘Illustrator’ in the subject line.
Please note: We receive a lot of submissions and are therefore unable to respond individually. Thank you for understanding.
Non-fiction
We are not currently accepting non-fiction submissions.
