Laura Sheldon
Laura is a teacher at Sully Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales, where there is a real writers’ shed overlooking the sea.
Laura was born and brought up in Hillside Crescent in Swansea, around the corner from where Dylan used to live. She has always enjoyed writing stories and spent most of her childhood in a fantasy world. She became a primary school teacher in 2000 and finds lots of opportunities for exploring fantasy worlds with her pupils. She believes that everything is more fun taught in a story!
Mr Mahli's Shed and a ghost named Dylan was a runner up in the Firefly Children's Book Prize 2014 and published in September 2014.
